Overview
The Cashfree Payments mobile app serves as the primary touchpoint for merchants managing their payments on the go. This initiative encompassed three interconnected projects aimed at improving the app's adoption, ratings, and overall product experience.
Visual Standardisation
Established a consistent visual language across the mobile app by aligning components, typography, spacing, and interaction patterns with the broader Cashfree design system. This reduced visual inconsistencies that were eroding user trust and making the app feel unpolished.
Rage-Review Control
Identified patterns where frustrated users were being prompted to rate the app at the worst possible moments — after errors, failed transactions, or loading timeouts. Redesigned the review prompt logic to trigger only after positive interactions, significantly improving app store ratings.
Product Revamp
Restructured the app's information architecture and key workflows based on merchant usage data. Prioritised the most-used features (transaction monitoring, settlement tracking, refund management) and simplified navigation to reduce the steps needed for common tasks.
